Default Rate these (W/E builds)

Since the demise of Mark of Pain, I've been looking into some alternative warrior builds, tell me what you think of these. I think I've given up on not using superior runes..

w/e

9+3 Strength
10+1+1 Axe Mastery
8+1 Tactics
9 Fire Magic

Conjure Flame/Penetrating Blow/Swift Chop
Warrior's Endurance
Flurry/Res Sig/I Will Survive/Whatever
Cyclone Axe
Pheonix
Fireball
Watch Yourself!
Dolyak Signet

w/e

9+1 Strength
9+3 Axe Mastery
9+1 Tactics
9 Fire Magic

Rodgart's Invocation/Incendiary Bonds
Cyclone Axe
Flurry
Victory is Mine!
Penetrating Blow
Executioner's Strike
Watch Yourself!
Bonetti's Defense

w/e

10+1+1 Strength
11+3 Axe
10 X Element

Conjure X
Flurry
Defy Pain
Dolyak Signet
Executioner's Strike
Cyclone Axe
Don't Know
Don't Know

All these builds assume a customized max damage Zealous Battle Axe of Defense with +15% in stance. All of these builds are for pve..
Any input would be great.

Eh, crap, I just realized something. You have to have an elemental weapon to use a conjure, don't you? Well forget the conjures, then. Except maybe on the last build.

My W/E is one of my favorite chars. This is my build.

Strength:8 (7+1+1)
Hammer Mastery: 14 (11+3)
Earth Magic: 12

Irresistable Blow, Frenzy, Hammer Bash, Aftershock, Armor of Earth, Magnetic Aura, Sprint, Rez Sig

Hope that helps.

(I'm not sure if I use flurry or frenzy. I use whatever one lowers your attack power, not defense)

Don't like hammers, but thanks.

As for Eonwe, just what are you saying? I don't get it.
VGJustice- Mobs run from the whole AoE thing now, so I'm looking for other ways to do some decent damage and still maintain some survivability. One thing I've forgotten in a few builds is healing signet.. hehe. Oops. Don't know where I'd put it anyway.

Strength needs a self heal, dang it.

Seems wierd to use an elite with only 9 points in it.. anyway.. seems kind of a pussy way to fight if you ask me, and it requires corpses.

As for the w/e build, I don't know how that damage would compare to fire, but crystal wave seems like a no-no. My teammates may very well rely on conditions to use their build, example: ViM builds, and using that could ruin the group. Otherwise, the build looks okay, though activating AS actually requires 20 energy, because of the need for a KD. Lately, I really feel like sinking some sharp steel into things though, I'm not sure I want to be casting so much.

Thanks for the replies, you gave me something to think about.

Now if anyone could CRITIQUE my original builds, that would be nice, instead of telling me to use something else.

u concentrate ur vile touch on same foe and before long, there u have it, a corpse, then they all die
as for glad with 9 in it u get 9 sec. Long enough for u to charge bonnettis at the beginnig of the fight, and to recast rottin and well of suffering the 2nd time u use it

BTW this is a solo build sorry if ur lookin into group build

as for the 2nd build the idea is not max dmg input but with armor of earth and dolyak u get about +80 armor o and i made an error on this build u need 0 in axe put the point in tactics so u can equip a tactics shield

I'm just saying, there are areas of the game with no corpses.

Thanks whoever moved this, I must have been on the wrong tab in firefox or something. Or I'm just retarded.

These builds are terrible for PvP, do not pursue this line of thought in attempts to PvP.

For PvE if you really want to run fire nuking skills, pick ones with short cast times. Spending 3 seconds to cast rodgorts and using all your energy is a complete waste as a warrior. Inferno and flame burst don't tie you up and dish out AoE damage to targets near you. It isn't really the best build for PvE, but you can get away with a lot in PvE so it should work well enough. You are better off running an ele if you want most of the damage spells though.

Notice how I said PVE.
As for the 3 second cast time, I think that pheonix is worth it, and rodgart's was a bad idea. That's why I put the other spell beside it, it still gives the effect I want. As for making an ele... meh. I hate eles. I can stand warriors.

Thanks for the reply and critique, Warskull, I wish more would do the same. Maybe I'd get more out of flameburst as compared to pheonix, because of the low recharge. As for inferno, I think the recharge is just too long. What do you think about the other skills? What would you suggest for each build?

It's bad when people assume that the game is only for PvP people. I find PvE to be more rewarding these days...

I miss Mark of Pain too. The one gripe I have is that W/E lacks the efficiency of W/N even with the correct buffs.

I'd say going Sword + Blood Magic might be the way to go. Death Magic is very iffy due to the 10e. style skills it requires. With the exception of Virulence. YAY Virulence!

Too much pve make n00buses out of potential good players and its very apparent in this thread. Ill rate your builds

Build one

I give it a 1.5/10. It seems like you’re trying to stay alive for as long as possible rather than actually kill stuff. Where’s the damage??? Learn to trust your monks, teamplay is the answer. Flurry is for wimps. Real warriors use frenzy, know when to use it and when not too. If you must, turn it off using sprint. Executioners strike pwns penetrating blow, eviscerate pwns cyclone axe. Maybe you dont have an elite axe skill yet, Ill let it slide

Is cyclone axe worth the trade off for a zealous axe haft? Not sure. Havent tried, and dont care to.

Pump that axe mastery all the way to 16. Forget the tactics. Fireball on a warrior? pfft

Res sig should be your one constant. Its permanently in my 8th skill slot, pve or pvp.

Strength doesent need to be so high, especially if youre using penetrating blow, they dont stack the way you think.

Thats all Ive got time for right now but Ill leave you with this.

Answer me these questions three and you'll see what you'll be

Do you want to be a womanly warrior who hides behind defensive stances and is only good when the rest of your team is dead?

Do you want to be a manly warrior who pumps out the damage like no tomorrow and kills stuff before stuff can kill your team?

Who really killed JFK?

Trade off? I can use both.

Strength is high for 1 skill, mostly. Dolyak Signet.
I didn't really think that they would stack directly, I just wanted a more spammable skill than Executioner's.. though I might be okay with that on my bar anyway. Cyclone does wonders for adrenaline.
While res signets are all well and good, I'd rather put something on my bar that will help my team live longer.

I choose to live.
PvE and PvP have somewhat different priorities. A warrior that's using all offensive skills and frenzy on the front lines in pve = deadness. How useful is a dead warrior, or one with 60dp? You tell me. Thanks for the reply, though.

Another build:

W/N

10+1+1 Strength
9+3 Swordsmanship
9+1 Tactics
8 Death Magic

Virulence {E}
Sever Artery
Dolyak Signet
Watch Yourself!
Galrath Slash
Healing Signet
Final Thrust
Res

Instead of a res, I could also take Gash, Hamstring, Riposte, Consume Corpse/Soul Feast, Flurry, Plague Touch, Savage Slash, or Well of the Profane, I suppose. Suggestions please! And more suggestions on my w/e builds would be nice too.

Hey, on the Fire W/E, how can you not take Lava Font? It seems like a no brainer for a Warrior (AoE spell centered around you).

Fast casting and fast recharge is nice too. Yeah, it's costly for a warrior at 10 En, but a Warrior in Glad. armor should be able to pull it off...

After the AoE patch, I started using Lava Font more than Fire Storm. For whatever reason, monsters don't seem to run from it, although I've heard reports to the contrary!

Yeah, that's why I never considered it, because I'd always heard that it's like firestorm, etc. Thanks for the suggestion though, it's a nice spell with a fast recharge. I'll try it.
